Nikolas stares at Elizabeth. "Did you say ‘Mr. Murty’? As is English teacher, Mr. Murty?" Elizabeth nods. "Are you sure?"

Elizabeth sinks to the ground. "I’m pretty sure."

"How do you know?"

"It’s little things…. Murty is always jogging through this part of the park for starters. He’s always been pretty weird around me but the biggest thing is that he always says the same thing that the guy in the park said that night—‘Not another word.’ He said it in class, and in my tutoring sessions…"

"Tutoring sessions?"

"I’m sure it’s a foreign concept to brains like you and Sarah, but I flunked my English final so now I’ve got to be tutored by Murty in order to graduate on time."

"You think he raped you, and you go to private tutoring sessions with him?"

"I have no choice, and I’m not alone," Elizabeth replies. "Lucky is my backup. He waits outside the classroom. He gave me a knife—"

"You carry a knife?," Nikolas interjects.

"Lucky wanted me to have something with me just in case he couldn’t be there fast enough. He also gave me a mini recorder to get Murty on tape saying something incriminating."

"Has he?"

"Well, Murty took my first recorder away, and the second one didn’t pick up sound too well. That’s why I need your help. I figure since you’re a Cassadine…" Her voice trails off.

"You figure since I’m a Cassadine, I must have a stock of listening devices at my disposal," he concludes for her.

Elizabeth smiles nervously. "I guess I’ve been listening to Lucky, too much, right?"

"Being a Cassadine does have its advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages is that I do have access to various security devices, including bugs. One of the disadvantages is that everyone expects you to be villianous or trecherous." Elizabeth starts to speak but Nik waves her off. He smiles. "I would like to help you in anyway I can."

Elizabeth rises to her feet. She approaches Nikolas, tentatively smiling. "Thank you."

"So how should we go about this plan?"

"Go about what plan," Lucky calls, appearing by the fountain. He turns to Elizabeth. "What are you planning with Nikky boy?"

Elizabeth stares at Lucky. "I didn’t expect to see you here."

"Obviously," Lucky retorts. "What’s going on? Why are you going behind my back to him for help?" Nikolas rolls his eyes in response. "What, you find this funny, Cassacreep?"

"Lucky!," Elizabeth shouts, glaring at him. "I asked Nikolas for help behind your back because I knew you’d react like this."

"Typical Spencer 'I'm so macho' theatrics," Nikolas retorts.

"Elizabeth, he’s a Cassadine. You can’t trust them," Lucky counters.

"No, you won’t trust them. I asked Nikolas to keep my secret, and he did. Now I’m asking him for help in catching Murty—"

"---You told him?!Elizabeth!" Lucky complains.

"No, Lucky!," Liz cries. "I asked him for help in catching Murty and he agreed."

"We can do this without him," Lucky urges.

"I don’t think we can," she says, softly, but with force. Lucky stares at her, unsure of what to say. Nikolas stands in the background, watching the scene.

Lucky clears his throat. "I don’t like this."

Elizabeth nods. "I know. If there were any other way…" She glances at Nikolas, who nods in understanding. "Lucky, this has nothing to do with how I feel about you, you know that, don’t you?"

"Elizabeth, I… I love you," he says softly, so that Nikolas won’t hear. His face grows resigned. "If you want his help, I’ll go along with it, but only because it’s you. I’d do anything for you." He grabs Elizabeth’s hand, and turns to face Nikolas.

"So what’s the plan?," he says icily.
